How I Order My Favorite iHerb Products Abroad

If you love online shopping for health and wellness products, then you’ve probably heard of iHerb. It’s my go-to for everything from supplements to skincare, and honestly, I place an order every other week. If you’re in Switzerland and wondering how to navigate iHerb’s shipping, customs, and product options, you’re in the right place. I’m breaking down everything you need to know about ordering from iHerb in Switzerland, plus sharing my favorite finds and some tips to get the best deals.

Why I Love Shopping on iHerb

Let’s be real—iHerb is a total game-changer, and every time I’ve lived abroad, it’s been my go-to website. Living in Switzerland isn’t always as glamorous as it seems—between language barriers, endless paperwork, and outdated websites, simple tasks can feel complicated. That’s why iHerb is such a win for me. It’s in English (no awkward translations!), easy to use, and just works. But, trust me it’s not just a website for those living abroad. Think busy women who wear multiple hats and have their hands full (ummm hi that’s me!), who want to still feel healthy, but not head to the store so often.

But, let me tell you a few more reasons I love shopping in iHerb:

  • Wide Variety: From organic snacks to skincare, iHerb has everything I miss from back home.
  • Affordable Prices: Compared to local Swiss stores, iHerb’s prices are usually much better.
  • Easy Delivery: No more hunting down niche products in-store; they come straight to my door.
  • Reviews Matter: The customer reviews are super helpful when deciding what to buy.

How to Order from iHerb (no matter where you are!)

Ordering from iHerb is pretty straightforward, but there are a few things you should know to avoid any surprises:

1. Create an Account & Choose Your Products

Head to iHerb’s website, sign up, and start filling your cart. My advice? Take your time reading reviews and product descriptions—it’s worth it!

2. Payment Methods

iHerb accepts major credit cards and PayPal. I usually stick to our credit card because with Chase or AMEX there is normally an extra cash back offer.

3. Shipping Options to Switzerland (tips since this is where I live!)

  • DHL Express: Fast and reliable, usually takes 3-5 business days and is only 10 CHF. If you are in a rush this is your best bet and I promise, it will actually come in the timeframe it suggests.
  • Local Postal Services: Can take longer but are free when you order more than 40 CHF.

4. Customs & VAT

iHerb orders shipped to Switzerland are subject to VAT, which is collected at checkout to simplify customs clearance. Both Swiss Post and DHL Express orders include prepaid duties, taxes, and fees, so no additional payments are needed upon delivery. You should check Swiss import regulations, as some products are restricted and might still be on the website, just to be safe. More details are available on the iHerb Switzerland shipping page.

I initially worried about customs and shipping because if you live in Europe you know that can be a nightmare, but once I figured it all out, it became a smooth (and slightly addictive) experience.

My Top iHerb Favorites

I’ve tried A LOT of products over the years, but these are my ride-or-dies and items that I’ve bought again and again.

Supplements:

  • Thorne Prenatals: A great multivitamin for women whether you are trying to conceive or not.
  • CALM Magnesium: Great for sleep, relaxation, and post-workout recovery!
  • Trace Electrolytes + Immunity: Perfect for stying hydrated and boosting your immune system! I drink these daily.

Beauty Products:

  • Bio-Oil: Hydration heaven for dry skin, stretch marks, or irritations.
  • Acure Brightening Facial Scrub: Leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean without any strange or harsh chemicals.
  • Biodance Collagen Sheet Mask: The viral TT face mask is finally able to purchase in Switzerland!

Snacks & Pantry Staples:

  • Justin’s Nut Butter: Addictive and perfect for toast, on apples, or stirred into oats.
  • Yogi Bedtime Tea: This is my nightly tea + I miss in 1 tsp of CALM magnesium from above for a the perfect relaxing blend.
  • Somos Refried Beans: In Switzerland you know these are almost impossible to find and if you do, they cost an arm and a leg. These are a great price and taste fabulous!

I could go on and on, but you get the idea—there’s SO much to explore. Browse more of my favorites below!

Now that I hope I’ve convinced to to place an order. Check out my favorite iHerb finds and see why I keep coming back for more. Whether you’re in Switzerland or anywhere else, iHerb makes healthy living seriously easy and affordable.
