Welcome to another edition of The Roundup—aka a little peek into my very regular, somewhat boring, 30-something life.

I promised to check in with you weekly, and as I sit down to write this, I realize… it was a very normal, very uneventful week. Think: physical therapy, my usual chiropractor visit, a Saturday at IKEA, and a whole lot of meal prepping. Thrilling, I know. But sometimes the most “boring” weeks are the ones that leave you feeling the most grounded, clear-headed, and ready for what’s next, and that’s me right now.
So, let’s get into it—here’s what I’ve been eating, wearing, slathering on my face, and loving this week!

Home Decor (aka The Ikea Run) | Shopping for home decor in Switzerland? Brutal. I would do unspeakable things to wander around a West Elm or Anthropologie Home again. The options here are pretty limited, and while West Wing (which is kind of like West Elm) is great, the shipping times can be crazy.
I hate the idea of filling our home with IKEA furniture, but at this point, I’ve just accepted it for what it is. So, off to IKEA we went to check out some closet drawers, hallway lights, and, most importantly—the vira Hovet mirror that has taken over TikTok. We actually found everything we needed, including the mirror… but the second we tried to load it into our car? It just barely didn’t fit. So we had to return it, order it online, and now we get to pay $70 for shipping. Love that for us.
Meal Prepping for Next | We ate some weird dinners this week. You know those weeks where nothing really comes together, and every meal is just a little off? That was us. So, I’m determined to turn it around and make this week a bit healthier (and better tasting).

I’m also heading in for another cortisone shot in my back tomorrow, so I want to make things easy and focus on foods that will support my body while it does its thing. If you have any go-to meal prep recipes, send them my way! Here’s what’s on deck so far:
- Chia Seed Pudding
- Homemade Granola (I used agave syrup and also added cashews and almonds)
- Harissa Chicken Bowls
- Salmon Adobo Tacos
Skincare | I’ve officially been using my Current Body red light mask for two months, and I can actually see a difference! My skin feels smoother, my pores look better, and even my forehead lines are slightly softer. I can’t wait to see what happens at the six-month mark.
This was a Christmas gift from my husband (thanks, babe!), and honestly, I’d say it’s a solid investment. Also, I swear my makeup is going on smoother, and my face isn’t getting as oily by the end of the day.

Movies | This weekend we watched ‘Winner’ on Hulu SO good. And so interesting. I was actually living in Singapore when this was happening, and I had no idea about any of it. It’s a wild story, and now we’re planning to watch the documentary. We also watched ‘One of Them Days‘ with Keke Palmer and SZA? A hilarious duo. We laughed so much, but the movie also touched on real issues—like what it’s like to live in LA, the inequalities people face, and just the general chaos of everyday life.
Life in Zurich | We took advantage of the nice weather this weekend and ventured into the city. First stop? Brunch at Fork & Bottle. If you haven’t been yet, go. We’ve always loved it for beer, but this was our first time going for brunch—and we are hooked.
After that, we checked out Bear St. Bakery, a cookie spot I’ve been seeing all over Instagram. And let me just say… the hype is real. The cookies were warm, soft, and perfectly sweet. Plus, the staff was actually friendly—which, let’s be honest, isn’t always a given at trendy spots here in the city.
Links Worth Sharing | A few other things I love this week that I think you will too.
- Ilia Volumizing Mascara – I love this for thick, dark lashes.
- Elf Halo Glow Filter – With my skin looking better than it honestly has in ages, I am loving a simple makeup up. I am opting for no foundation and instead use this glowy primer and a dab of concealer.
- I am eyeing this Sezané brown bag to add to my collection this spring.
- Salomon XT-6 Sneakers – These aren’t my most comfy shoe, but I’ve been reaching for these more this past week for the tread and waterproof(ness) lol. The are super versatile and I love them for an easy shoe.
