Shopping for maternity clothes can feel overwhelming anywhere — but if you’re pregnant in Switzerland, it can feel especially tricky! Options are limited, prices are high, and stylish maternity pieces aren’t always easy to find in-store. If you’ve been wondering where to shop for maternity clothes in Switzerland, you’re definitely not alone and this guide was made just for you!

This guide focuses on pieces that actually work for a growing bump, without forcing you into clothes that feel overly “maternity.” Many of these items are made from forgiving fabrics that grow with you and can be worn postpartum, too! Some are maternity-specific, while others are simply smart, stretchy staples that make getting dressed easier throughout pregnancy.
I’m part of several WhatsApp mom groups in the Zurich area, and one question that comes up again and again is where to shop for maternity clothes in Switzerland. And honestly? I was shocked by some of the answers! Women were saying they were wearing clothes from Migros (which… you truly couldn’t pay me to do lol), or just buying oversized items and sharing clothes with their husbands. I was completely flabbergasted and not what I envision myself looking, or feeling like, during pregnancy!
So, I created a TikTok video sharing the places I’ve personally been shopping during my pregnancy — and so many women saved it that I knew this deserved a permanent spot on the blog! Especially as my content starts evolving over the next few months and into motherhood once our little girl arrives 🤍 Make sure you’re subscribed so you don’t miss upcoming posts!
Where to Shop for Maternity Clothes Switzerland
Shopping in Switzerland is limited in general, and maternity clothing can feel even more restrictive due to limited options and questionable styles. In my experience, online shopping is by far the best option. Every store below is one I personally order from and genuinely love.
Shopbop
Shopbop is one of my go-to stores while living in Switzerland because it carries so many U.S. brands I already loved before pregnancy. Shipping is incredibly fast, duties and taxes are included, and everything arrives without any surprises. While returns do cost around €60, I personally find the convenience worth it. I’ve been living in their stretchy dresses, knitwear, and bump-friendly basics throughout my pregnancy.

H&M
H&M’s maternity line has been one of my surprise favorites for pregnancy basics. Their pieces are affordable, comfortable, and easy to mix and match, which is exactly what you want when your body is constantly changing. They have great ribbed tanks and tees that grow with your bump, stretchy leggings that don’t feel restrictive, and maternity denim that actually fits and feels wearable day to day.
What I love most is that nothing looks overly “maternity.” These are pieces you can style just like your normal wardrobe — with sneakers, flats, or a cozy sweater layered on top. Plus, with H&M stores all over Switzerland, returns and exchanges are easy if you need to try multiple sizes, which is a huge win during pregnancy.

Amazon
Amazon has seriously surprised me when it comes to maternity basics. I swear by these maternity leggings and this white athletic top — it’s perfect for layering under sweaters, jackets, or button-downs. These are the types of basics that make everyday outfits so much easier while pregnant.

Abercrombie & Fitch
Abercrombie has been a favorite for cozy loungewear — which we all need during pregnancy. From months four to six, I felt very in-between sizes, and loungewear quickly became my uniform. Their soft fabrics, relaxed fits, and elevated basics are perfect for staying comfortable while still feeling put together.

Intimissi
ntimissimi has been one of my biggest pregnancy MVPs. Their ultra-light cashmere and modal tops have been on constant rotation my entire pregnancy. They’re incredibly soft, stretch beautifully over a growing bump, and work just as well postpartum. Shop yours here! They frequently run sales, so I recommend grabbing a few when you see them discounted.
Care tip: Wash inside out on a delicate or wool cycle and hang to dry — they do pill if not handled gently.

If you’re looking for more classic maternity-specific pieces, such as dresses designed with bump-friendly cuts, this is a great place to check.
