- April: Warmer days (55-70°F / 13-21°C), sunny afternoons, peak bloom season.
- May: Almost summer vibes (60-75°F / 15-24°C), longer daylight hours, perfect for sightseeing.

Packing Tips for Spring
When packing for Rome in the spring, think layers and versatility. Since the weather can be a little unpredictable and vary throughout the day, think cooler mornings, warm afternoons, and occasional rain showers. This means having the right pieces is super important to keep you comfortable all day long.
Layer Up | Mornings and evenings can be chilly, however the afternoons can feel warm—so light layers are a must!
Comfortable Shoes | Rome is a walking city and you’ll for sure get your steps in! Sneakers, stylish flats, or low-heeled boots are ideal for those cobblestone streets. Just make sure to not bring a brand new pair of shoes, you don’t want blisters!
Day-to-Night Outfits | Rome has a stylish, yet effortless vibe. Pack outfits that can easily transition from sightseeing to dinner (this is where jackets came come into play!).

The Colosseum tends to be a bit chillier compared to the rest of the city, thanks to the shaded areas and stone. This is the perfect day to rock some chic black trousers, a breezy linen crop top, and layer it with a classic white button-down for extra warmth. Comfort is key, so make sure to slip on your favorite tennis shoes—you’re going to be doing a lot of walking!

For visit the Vatican you’ll want to wear light clothes in Spring, as it can be crowded in the museum and much warmer. However, you’ll still want to dress respectful. This light cotton dress, paired with comfy tennis shoes and a white button down shirt is the perfect out for this day. As you leave the Vatican and head back outside, you can peel off your button down and layer it over your shoulders for the perfect look!
